Personal Safety is a two-fold concept that consists of two distinct but equally important components.
First there is the educational portion which teaches you how and why things go wrong and makes you aware
of how to identify those circumstances. This educational portion is then fully complemented by the second
component of hands-on personal training which enables you to deal with those situations, if they should happen.
Know & Go®
– an Emmy nominated, age-specific safety course taught in a safe and fun environment so that
the child not only gets an education on serious topics but also has a fun time learning how to
deal with them.
BullyGuard™ – a lecture-based
seminar that focuses on confidence-building, safe zones, and the concept of Just Walk Away™ before
a confrontation begins.
TeenSafe™ – teaches teens to be
aware of their surroundings and how to identify and deal with intimidation and threatening behavior,
whether they are going about their day-to-day activities or are away from their home environment.
Training for Life® – tailored to everyday people,
based on education and simple techniques that help empower the student to be more aware, build
confidence, and live a safer life by creating a window of opportunity to get away.
Personal Safety Protection Training is open to all active ITA members and community members at
large (no age limit). Qualifications for an annual teaching certificate are coordinated between ITA and CDT.
